Blackwoods strike harmonious chord

The Blackwood Brothers fundraising breakfast was an early morning treat for those gathered at the Family Life Center.

Hosted by the Cayman Against Substance Abuse, visitors enjoyed a scrumptious buffet of ackee and green bananas, bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, toast and many choices of cereals along with fruit punch and orange juice.

Singing for many years this delightful group entertained with smooth lyrics for which the Blackwoods are famous. The group also did a wonderful job of showcasing the talents of a very talented family.

Ron Blackwood, co-owner and manager of the Blackwood quartet was a continuous ball of energy on stage. Just as entertaining was Shelly Layne Blackwood with her mellow alto voice.

Steve Warren, Blackwoods music director, RW Blackwood Jr., Donna Blackwood and Paul Hyde were all exceptional, blessing everyone with songs from their album ‘The Blackwood Singers at their best.’
