Colourful Corn Snake

This harmless pantherophis guttata guttata – otherwise known as the corn snake or red rat snake – was found dead by the roadside in Spotts Newlands. Measuring about 48 inches, the snake’s colourful markings on top and belly caught the attention of Mr. John Henry. Not knowing what kind of snake it was, Mr. Henry later found out it was a common corn snake.
