Cayman Airways and the local Key Club Chapter have joined hands to send 53 representatives to the 67th Annual Key Club Florida District Convention in Orlando, Florida.
According to press release from Cayman Airways, the Key Club is a student-led organisation sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, the local chapter being a part of the Florida District’s Division 25B.
‘This year’s group is the largest ever to represent Cayman and the teenagers are excited to attend the three-day convention this weekend,’ said the release.
‘When Cayman Airways was approached in March regarding providing assistance to the Key Club, the airline, aware of the Key Club’s reputation as a commendable organisation committed to community service as well as the development of young people, we were happy to offer our support.’ said Mr. Michael Adam, CEO and President of Cayman Airways.
Events at the convention will include a workshop by the Lt. Governor of the Cayman Islands Division and other Key Club members highlighting the Cayman Islands. The workshop will include videos, interaction, handouts and souvenirs.
This workshop will bring and increase awareness to attendees of what the Cayman Islands has to offer and comes just a few weeks before Cayman Airways’ non-stop service from Orlando to Grand Cayman begins in July, the release said.
