Attorney specialises in investment funds

On Monday 11 July 2005, David Williams appeared before Mrs. Justice Priya Levers for admission as Attorney at Law. His application was sponsored by Maples and Calder and made by the firm’s head of litigation, Andrew Jones QC.

Mr. Williams joins Maples and Calder from Freshfields Bruckhause Deringer’s London office where he worked in the investment funds group from 2002.

Prior to Freshfields, he worked at Eversheds where he qualified as a solicitor in September 2000.

Mr. Williams has advised on a broad range of financial services and investment funds matters, covering both the institutional and retail arenas.

He specialises in investment funds, advising on all aspects of the investment fund world, including establishing and advising on open and closed-ended funds (including real property, hedge and private equity funds), public equity offerings, reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and compliance matters.
