At a recent application in the Grand Court before Mrs. Justice Priya Levers, Ms Lisa Parsons was admitted to practise as an Attorney-at-Law in the Cayman Islands.
Ms Parsons, the proud mother of Michael, 16, and Kayla 11, was born in Grand Cayman and received her secondary education at the Cayman Islands High School.
Prior to joining the law firm of Campbells, Ms Parsons was employed by the Cayman Islands Government for a total of 13 years, holding positions in the Lands & Survey Department and the National Archive.
She obtained her Ll.B. (Hons) Degree from the Cayman Islands Law School in 2001, commencing employment with Campbells in September 2002 and enrolling in the Professional Practice Course at C.I. Law School the same year. She graduated in 2003 with a Certificate in Cayman Law and then began her period of articles with Campbells.
Campbells senior partner John Broadbent commented ‘Throughout her course of studies, Lisa held a full-time job as well as being a homemaker and mother to two children now aged 16 and 11. All in all, her qualification as an attorney represents a tremendous achievement on her behalf and one which I and the other partners and staff at Campbells are delighted to have been able to witness and play a part in.’
Ms Parsons intends to specialize in real estate law and will join Campbells’ busy practice in this area, which acts in relation to the purchase and sale of real estate, real estate development, secured lending and planning matters. Clients include major developers, hotels, condominium associations, investors and banks.
