People visiting Harbour House Marina’s open day on Saturday, 17 September look to be in for a Whaler of a time.
The event is being held in conjunction with Boston Whaler, who will be sending down representatives and giving people a chance to take a close look at their popular boats.
On display at the open day – the first that Harbour House has held for several years – will be the 24, 27 and 32ft Outrage models.
The special day – which gets under way at about 10am and runs until 5pm – will also feature an offer of 20% off all chandlery on cash sales at the Harbour House store.
The two-level, 8,000 square feet store – said to be the biggest marine store in Grand Cayman – has a comprehensive range of stock from kayaks and anchors to clothes and shoes.
And in a raffle there will also be a chance to win an $11,000 Boston Whaler Sport 13ft boat with motor and bimini top.
Raffle tickets will be $25 each and, says Harbour House retail manager Jonathan Cuff, after costs have been covered, remaining proceeds will go to the Red Cross of the USA for the relief of hurricane victims.
‘We are really looking forward to the day,’ said Mr. Cuff.
‘It will be a good opportunity for people to meet the Boston Whaler representatives.
‘It should be a fun day and will enable people to get a really good discount,’ he added.
Harbour House Marina, at the end of Marina Drive in Prospect has been in business for more than 20 years.
With a staff of about 30 people, the company – said to be the only full service marina in the Cayman Islands – offers repairs, maintenance, fuel sales and accessories.
