Prices to match Spirit
Cayman Islands residents can now avail of slashed Cayman Airways fares, being offered to match those of low cost carrier Spirit Airlines which will be operating flights here from February.
The US airline will offer a daily service between Grand Cayman and Fort Lauderdale with fares starting as low as US$79 plus taxes one way if bought before the end of September. The regular price will be US$99 one way plus taxes.
CAL’s new base fares on Grand Cayman – Miami and Grand Cayman – Fort Lauderdale routes return start at US$158 plus taxes, good for travel from 14 September to 9 February and tickets can be bought up to 30 September with a minimum two-day stay.
Flights between Grand Cayman and Tampa are as low as US$198 plus taxes and are good for travel from now until 9 February, to be purchased before 30 September, with a two day minimum stay.
Some of these reduced fares offer passengers savings of as much as US$120 return with all taxes.
Taxes on return flights between Grand Cayman and Miami and Grand Cayman and Fort Lauderdale come to US$133.45 and are slightly less on the Fort Lauderdale route.
