With Hurricane Ivan still a very vivid memory for residents of the Cayman Islands, the staff of Fortis Bank (Cayman) Limited, along with many people worldwide, were horrified by the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the people of New Orleans.
In an effort to lend assistance, the Fortis Social Committee organized a fund raising Quiz Night for victims of the hurricane. With a total of 12 teams, Fortis staff raised CI $240 from the Quiz. This was added to CI $325 made in general donations by the staff, and both donations were later presented to the Red Cross by the Social Committee’s President, Erin Lynch.
