All are invited to join in the United Nations Day Two-mile Run/Walk, which will take place on Sunday ,23 October. Participants are encouraged to represent their respective countries by means of a national flag, symbol, or costume. Citizens of the United States and Canada are urged to portray their home state or province.
Assembly point for the loop course is the North Terminal on Harbour Drive, with registration beginning at 4:0 p.m., and start time for the action is 5:00 p.m. Entry fee is $15, and overall performance and random prizes will be presented. National costumes will receive recognition. Awards and refreshments will be enjoyed at Breezes By The Bay at 6pm.
Emphasis in this activity is on participation rather than speed, and the fun-filled event has been the scene of imaginative and creative offerings from those taking part in previous years.
