Exciting new handsets unveiled at Chamber EXPO

Thousands of Cayman’s residents attended the hugely successful Chamber of Commerce Expo 2005 at the Lion’s Centre last weekend.

Platinum sponsor Cable & Wireless’ booth was in hot demand with consumers taking advantage of special offers, giveaways and checking out the latest technologies including the exciting new Nokia 8801, which was debuted at the EXPO.

The Nokia 8801 is available exclusively in the Cayman Islands with Cable & Wireless. This extremely stylish phone proved very popular with EXPO-goers with its sleek stainless steel case, slim design and a number of exciting features including an integrated camera and video, for images up to 600 pixels x 800 pixels and up to one hour of video capture.

The handset also boasts an FM radio and MP3, stunning 265K colour screen, integrated speaker phone, Mobile Web access, 64 MB of internal memory and Nokia PC Suite for synchronizing data between the phone and a PC.

C&W gave away lots of prizes each day at their booth – ranging from day-long HotSpot access cards to NetSpeak boxes, cellular phones, including some exclusive models and WiFi modems. Customers that didn’t win a prize were able to benefit from a number of special EXPO offers on Mobile, Voice and Broadband services.

C&W Chief Executive, Tim Adam worked the C&W booth for all three days of the EXPO selling C&W products and services – all the while wearing another of C&W’s newest products the innovative Motorola razor wire. This item, which is a pair of Oakley designer sunglasses with attached blue tooth headset, is bound to be a popular choice amongst customers here in Cayman’s sunshine.

The Chamber executive team and the Minister of Commerce, the Hon. Charles Clifford, visited the innovative C&W booth and assisted with picking a winner for one of the exclusive giveaways.
