The funds will go toward providing scholarship for Caymanian students to attend the United World College campuses around the world, said a UWC press release.

The National Foundation is currently accepting applications for scholarship for the academic year beginning in August 2006.

UWC offers an unparalleled international pre-university education. More than 50 Caymanian students have received these prestigious scholarships over the last 22 years to undertake the rigorous International Baccalaureate diploma.

Applicants should be well rounded and have above average academics, be involved in community services, sports and/or the arts and should be between the ages of 15 and 17.

There are currently four Caymanian students between the ages of 16 and 18 attending UWCs in Italy, India and Swaziland.
