Triple Crown Pub plays host to Aslan

Popular Irish band Aslan, named after the lion in the C.S. Lewis Narnia Chronicles, are set to perform at The Triple Crown Pub, as part of their St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations.

Performing two exclusive gigs, Friday and Saturday, 17 and 18 March, the Irish rock band will be supported by local acts Paradise Eggshell Blond and local DJs at what organisers are describing as a sell-out event.

Formed in 1982, the five piece band shot to success four years later following the release of their first ever single, swiftly followed by their debut album, Feel No Shame, released in 1988, which shot to number one in the Irish charts.

Following a brief split, the band came back with Single Crazy World, which went to number four in the Irish charts and became one of the most played songs on Irish radio that year.

The band have since gone on to release numerous chart topping singles and albums, including the double platinum album, Shame About Lucy Moonhead, the best of Aslan, and platinum selling album, Waiting for the Madness to End.

The band, who has been signed to prestigious labels such as EMI and BMG, has toured globally, including the UK, US, Australia and across Europe, as well as their native homeland Ireland.

Tickets cost $25 available from The Triple Crown Pub. The fun starts at 7pm and ends at 3am. A special St. Patrick’s Day menu is available, including Dublin coddle, stew, gammon and champ. There will be drinks specials, including green beer and Irish whiskey as well as giveaways throughout the event. Call (345) 943-7821 for ticket information.
