The MILO CayKids Duathlon is scheduled for this Sunday, April 2nd at the entrance to Governor’s Harbour. Registration is at 7 am, the event starts at 8 pm.
The race is a ‘run-bike-run’. The younger children, aged 7 to 10, run 500 metres, bike 3 km, then run 500 metres. The older children, aged 11 to 14, do double the distance. The route will be through Governor’s Harbour which is a great safe place to do this. Especially early Sunday morning.
The 11 to 14 year olds, for the first time, are competing for 1st place trophies. Overall male and female winners will take home the prize. Everyone takes home a finisher’s medal, certificate and t-shirt. As well, there will be refreshments for all.
As well, the schools will be competing for the ‘Participation Challenge of the Schools’, which is awarded to the school with the most participants. St. Ignatius has won it the last two events.
