As a frequent visitor to your lovely island, I would like to share my views regarding the proposed, captive dolphin park. Personally, I think it’s a great idea.
People all over the world know about Stingray City and thousands of tourists visit it every year.
I have been there many times and it is obvious to me that that everyone, including the rays has a wonderful time during these encounters.
I also know from personal experience that dolphins enjoy interacting with people.
So, if the dolphins in your proposed park are well cared for and everyone respects these creatures, what is the problem?
Notwithstanding the fact that they are different species, are stingrays really all that different from dolphins?
A dolphin park would be a great attraction and could bring in more tourists and more dollars to Grand Cayman.
