Native Caymanian, William Conolly, a 21-year veteran of the hotel industry, is due to leave the island shortly to take up his new post as Executive Assistant Manager of the luxurious Peabody hotel in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Mr. Conolly is considered locally as one of Cayman’s most qualified and experienced tourism professionals, especially in 5-star service delivery. He is a former President of the Cayman Islands Hotel and Condominium Association, and has held various executive positions with the Hyatt Regency in Grand Cayman and its flag-ship Hotel in Orlando, Florida, the Grand Caymanian Resort, the Britannia Villas and Plantana Resort Condominiums.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Hamilton University, an accredited designation from the American Hotel & Motel Association, and received his Professional Development at Cornell University.
His is also considered a well-rounded professional because he brings a level of experience that embraces multiple disciples within the industry as well as other related areas. He has worked for the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and most recently returned from a stint in Hong Kong setting up the Cayman Islands Investment Bureau office there.
Mr. Conolly stated that he was delighted to join the Peabody Hotel Group and looks forward to contributing at the highest possible level as a team member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Gregg Herning, the General Manager of the Peabody, stated in an email that he had just returned from a three-day meeting in Orlando with Peabody Hotel Group Executive Vice President, Alan Villaverde, and had spoken often of Mr. Conolly and his pending arrival to the company.
