I read your article from 29 May about ‘Tourism product getting better in the Cayman Islands’, and how making a positive impact on your visitors was regarded as important.
Therefore it seems strange that Cayman banks do not exchange UK currency (UK being England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland).
When our Scottish pounds were rejected by Cayman banks, my husband and I were left relying on our credit cards and the small amount of CI dollars exchanged in Miami (with Scottish pounds).
It left us feeling rejected and disappointed that this British Protectorate would not exchange British currency.
