It has become a common event, almost a ritual for any girl worth her salt. A Girls Night Out. It usually calls for a casual meal out, a healthy dose of alcoholic drinks, a chick flick, or, for those feeling particularly energetic, a bit of fun filled clubbing to round off the night. It’s an oestrogen charged event where girlie topics rule, gossip is rife and men are definitely not on the invite list.
But for those in the know, the Girls Night Out can be taken to an entire new level, thanks to an innovative new package at the Ritz-Carlton.
Touted as the ultimate Girls Night Out, Ladies Who Luxe combines a choice of treatments at the resorts famed La Prairie Silver Rain spa, ample champagne and a sumptuous three course meal at Blue by Eric Ripert.
‘We looked at the way people were using the resorts facilities and came up with this package,’ Melissa Perkins, communications director at the Ritz-Carlton said.
‘We noticed that groups of girls were already coming to the spa to get ready for a night out, so we put together Ladies Who Luxe to make it easier for people to book and organise.’
The package, available to residents only, has a choice of spa treatments to suit all, from a relaxing 60 minute Swedish massage, cleansing detoxifying facial or perfect manicure and pedicure.
The 20,000 square foot spa affords more than ample space to catch up on all the news and the free-flowing champagne will ensure the night gets off to a good start.
Arrive early and take advantage of the spa’s many facilities which include a steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi in the Ladies Sanctuary.
The Silver Haven Lounge – a hip chill-out area complete with luxurious lounge chairs and a heavenly buffet area – is the ideal area for girlie gossip and a catch up on the week’s events.
Follow on from the spa with a three-course meal at Blue, conveniently just a couple of steps away. The enticing menu features such delights as red snapper, loin of lamb and warm chocolate cake. The package includes champagne with which to wash it all down with.
Book the package on a Friday night and, if you’re not too full, head up to After Eight Fridays, a decadent experience in music, cocktails and food.
Held in the Silver Palm Lounge, the sophisticated event has quickly become an in hangout for residents and visitors alike.
The event features local Spin FM DJ Alexi playing the very latest lounge tunes and up-tempo dance music and, on occasions, a local congo player, which, according to organisers, gives the night a sexy, ethnic vibe.
Each month features a different theme, and this month’s is Disco Nouveau with Grey Goose Vodka. It’s the ideal way to round off the night and the well stocked bar will ensure spirits remain high.
Ladies Who Luxe is available to Cayman Island residents only until 30 September and costs $200 per person, gratuities not included. For reservations call 815-6900.
