Cydonie Mothersill sixth in World Athletics Final

Cydonie Mothersill turned in another good performance against the world’s best female sprinters this past weekend at the World Athletics Final in Stuttgart, Germany.

Running from the difficult starting position of lane two, Cydonie was pleased to have been credited with her best reaction time ever in this event.Her time of 22.89 earned her sixth place.

Cydonie has been selected to compete for the Americas team in the World Cup meet in Athens, Greece next weekend.

She will contest the meter dash against some of her opponents from Stuttgart, including Kim Gaevert of Belgium, representing Team Europe, and Sanya Richards, who will compete for Team United States.

Cydonie has also been named to the 4×100 meter relay squad for Team Americas, upon which she will be joined by Perdita Felicien of Canada, Debbie Ferguson of the Bahamas, and Aleen Bailey of Jamaica.
