The area between Concourse F and G was closed for nearly an hour on Tuesday as a police bomb squad investigated the threat, an airport spokesman said. Scores of passengers were forced to wait in the parking lots outside.
Authorities noticed the bag at a screening checkpoint about noon. Inside: an electric toothbrush, a rechargeable flashlight and two slim jims for opening cars, according to Miami-Dade police.
No major delays have been reported. But officials stressed that passengers on their way to the airport should call their airlines to check for delays.
