Friday promises to be an evening fit for kings and queens as this is the gala for the nominees and winners of the Third Annual Cayman Stingray Tourism Awards.
The Cayman Stingray Tourism Award, the highest honour bestowed by CITA, recognizes the persons who have excelled in Cayman Islands tourism operations and have made the greatest contribution to the interests and well being of the Association’s affairs and the islands’ hospitality industry during the year.
All nominees of The Cayman Stingray Tourism Award will be presented with certificates to mark their achievement in their nomination category. Winners of The Cayman Stingray Tourism 2006 Awards will be announced at the evening gala event and presented with their awards.
With this year’s new category added to the list of awards, one young Caymanian whose contribution to the tourism industry exemplifies excellence at an early point in their career will be presented with the Rising Star award.
Door prizes that will be given away to some lucky ticket holders include tickets to Cayman Jazz Fest and tickets to London on British Airways.
The Cayman Stingray Tourism Award 2006 Gala takes place at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Ballroom, with cocktails beginning at 6.30pm.
