Thirteen charged under Liquor Law

Next Level Night Club licensee John Mack appeared in Summary Court on Monday, charged with two offences under the Liquor Licensing Law.

Twelve others were charged with obtaining liquor during prohibited hours. All pleaded not guilty.

Mack pleaded not guilty to supplying intoxicating liquor during prohibited hours. He also denied aiding and abetting persons who were not licensees or employees to remain in a bar during prohibited hours.

According to details of the charges, the alleged offences occurred on Sunday, 10 September.

No other details were discussed in court. Attorney Clyde Allen, who represents Mack and nine others, was not present.

Three other defendants were represented by Attorney David McGrath.

Magistrate Nova Hall directed all of the above to return for trial on 14 March.

Attorney Shaun McCann asked for a return date of 24 January for his client.
