Scotiabank boosts JA support

Scotiabank has increased its commitment to Junior Achievement making a three -year commitment of CI$3,000 each year for the next three years as a Gold Sponsor.

Farried Sulliman, Managing Director of Scotiabank, commended Junior Achievement for its community-oriented focus and its programs which are helping to train young Caymanians to become future entrepreneurs and
leaders of this country, and future managers and employees for local business.

In addition to the bank’s financial support, the bank sponsors a JA Company where high-school students start-up and run their own company for 18 weeks under the supervision of Company Advisors who are bank employees who volunteer their personal time.

Bruce John, Assistant General Manager of the Bank’s Corporate & Commercial Department is also a Director of JA, and head of fund-raising for JA.
