Lil’ Kreationz, a Junior Achievement company, recently hosted Governor Stuart Jack and his wife Mariko to showcase music from their debut CD ‘Beats for the Heat’.
On hand for the event were representatives from Junior Achievement, the Rotary Club and John Gray High School, stated a press release.
Two members of the Lil’ Kreationz production team, Felicia Paddyfoote and DeAnn Blackman, developed a power point presentation explaining how the local music CD was produced.
The Vice President of finance, Daniel Bush, spoke about maximizing profitability, dividends to shareholders and working with other departments to make the business work effectively.
The Vice President of human resources, Whitney General, explained the company business plan, discussed attendance, wages and sales commissions, and conveyed what the students have learned from the business experience.
The Assistant Vice President of marketing, Mona Hussein spoke about the company’s selling opportunities, advertising approaches and public relations efforts.
Thus far, Lil’ Kreationz has sold 300 copies of its first local music CD ‘Beats for the Heat’ at various grocery stores, and craft and school fairs.
Lil’ Kreationz is currently producing a sequel to the popular ‘Beats for the Heat’ CD appropriately titled ‘Beats for the Heat 2’. The new CD will be released in February.
Lil’ Kreationz’ mission is to manufacture high quality CDs to educate and entertain the public about Cayman Islands music.
Lil’ Kreationz is a Junior Achievement company compromised of high school students mentored by dms Organization. Through the creation of this product, the students gain valuable experience on how to operate a business.
Lil’ Kreationz hopes that its customers will listen and enjoy the music on the CD, the release said.
