Rugby raffle extended

The President of the Cayman Rugby Union Mr. Derek Haines would like to announce that the draw date for the Heineken Chance of a lifetime Raffle has been extended to March 10th 2007 at 6pm at the South Sound Rugby Pitch.

Mr. Haines made the decision to extend the draw date after concerns from the membership and members of the public that they had not had a reasonable chance to purchase tickets in time for the original February 10th draw date.

The Raffle offers the winner two tickets on British Airways to Paris France where the lucky winners will reside in full luxury four star accommodation for two whole weeks. They will receive a hefty daily meal allowance as well as two highly prized tickets to the Rugby World Cup quarter final, semi final and final matches in Paris France, home of the 2007 Rugby World Cup. To finish off the chance of a lifetime package transportation to and from the pitch is provided. Paris will be buzzing even more than usual as several million visitors are expected to visit for the month long competition. The whole package is valued at well over CI$20,000.

Tickets are CI$100 and are still available at the Rugby club or via email [email protected] until March 9th 2007. There are also twenty two other prizes on offer all valued at more than CI$500.

The money raised is to be used to help restore Hurricane Ivan damaged facilities at the South Sound Ground. Items such as furniture, furnishings and coolers are all planned along with more outside seating and family areas that are so badly needed at the heavily used facility.
