Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, which means Cayman’s premier all-ages event bringing young and old, town mice and country mice and all other sorts together for the Cayman’s annual Agricultural Show.
Gauging from the flocks of folk descending from far and wide to get in touch with the fruits of Cayman soil, there’s nothing like going to the fair. Food to eat, farm animals to pet and admire, produce to taste, and loads of things to buy lure the curious as well as those in the know.
In honour of Cable & Wireless’ 40th anniversary, the company has signed on as the Show’s major sponsor, a sure bet this year’s event will be even bigger and better.
Always a hit with visitors are the annual livestock, produce and craft displays and competitions, exciting equestrian events, the baby show and old time fashion parade.
And there’s no doubt the abundance of fine jams and jellies, pies and cakes keep a certain contingent of Caymanians coming back for more year after year.
The show will provide an opportunity for shoppers to browse Cayman’s newest farmers market.
Get there early to check out the bargains. The show runs from 7am to 7pm.
