Caymanian Corey Thompson recently had his biggest game of the season playing professional basketball in England. Thompson scored 15 points, had 6 rebound and 2 blocks coming off of the bench as the sixth man. Thompson’s team beat the Bognor Regis pirates by a score of 91 to 72.
‘It was a good game and it was close in the first two quarters but we pulled away in the third,’ said Thompson. ‘It is always harder to play away games, not having any support and the other team having a few hundred supporters. But this is something you have to get used to. The coach was very pleased with my game and was glad that someone stepped up big. He had to make a few adjustments because of one of the starters missing the game due to a wedding.’
