The Massive National Squash Championships continue through 16 March at the South Sound Squash Club. Although there have been some excellent matches there have been no major surprises to date with all the top seeds moving comfortably through to the next round in both the main men’s and ladies divisions.
The best match to date was in the Vets division (40+) where Valdis Foldats outlasted Mark Hennings in a 3-1 battle, which lasted over one hour and went down to the wire. Foldats has put himself in good position after scoring a comfortable 3-0 win against Guy Harvey in this round robin event.
The Super Vets (50+) has gone with the seedings where Ian Patrick (#1) and Jay Schutte (#2) will battle it out for the title this coming Friday.
