The Sister Islands Swim Club (SSIC), the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association (CIASA) and the Cayman Islands Cancer Society (CICS) are hosting the two-day Swim & Stride Duathlon on Cayman Brac on April 21st and 22nd.

The swim ‘leg’ of the event will be on Saturday, April 21st beginning at 3:00 pm from the Carib Sands dock. This portion of the event is a 800m sea swim that will end at the Tiara Beach dock. The Stride ‘leg’ of the Duathlon will be on Sunday, April 22nd and will be a 5K walk/run beginning at the Brac Reef at 6:30 am. Participants will walk to Aunt Sha’s and back to the Brac Reef.

The swim event is being organized by SSIC and CIASA and the Stride leg by the Cancer Society. Registration is $10 for the swim and $10 for the walk and participants will get a t-shirt for the events for which they register. Swimmers receive free pizza and medals after the swim and walkers will receive a free breakfast.

Registration for the swim is from 1:45pm to 2:45pm on swim day and it is hoped that there will be about 100 participants.
