Cayman National recently donated CI$10,000 to the Red Cross in support of its Disaster Management Programme.
This donation is in response to the Red Cross’ appeal to companies island-wide to support their community programmes by reaching a target of CI$200,000.
The donation will assist the Red Cross to educate and train the community to be prepared to respond effectively in the event of a disaster, said a press release.
‘It is essential that the necessary education and tools are made available to ensure that the Red Cross team, volunteers and indeed the community are adequately prepared in the face of a disaster, and we are indeed pleased to be involved in this effort,’ said Claudia Welds, Cayman National’s Corporate Communication senior executive.
The Cayman Islands Red Cross is celebrating Red Cross month during May with several activities for all to participate and support a worthy cause.
