CNB undergoes project management

Cayman National Bank staff members recently attended a three-day project management course at Micro Matrix Skills Assessment & Training Centre.

The intensive workshop focused on allowing participants to focus on all aspects of being effective project managers. Key areas that were focused on included project management basics, the life cycle of a project and project management risk assessment, states a press release.

Sandra Catron, workshop facilitator explains the importance of project management in the 21st Century work environment.

‘Project management is not just for construction and military logistics experts anymore. Many mid level and upper level managers are expected to administer and supervise projects on an ongoing basis as part of their jobs. This course is focused on demystifying project management and allowing managers to obtain the necessary skills to properly manage a project of any size,’ she said.

Project management is growing exponentially. It’s now used in virtually all industries, such as: health care, government, education and banking. Projects are how these organizations streamline to improve productivity. As mid-level management positions are reduced, project managers fill the void. Organizations such as Cayman National Bank are to be commended for providing their staff with the expertise needed in order to be their most effective as project managers. This organization continues to show a level of support and commitment to staff training that will only benefit their staff and organization as a whole.
