Cayman Brac will have a rare opportunity this weekend of Saturday, June 9th 2007 to see the Cayman Islands National U-15 & Men’s Basketball teams take on a Brac select team each. On the invitation of Brac Sports Instructor Mitchum Sanford, the National Basketball coach Victor O’Garo gladly accepted the offer to help in the development of basketball in Cayman Brac. ‘Through an exhibition of the national teams visiting and showcasing their talents and abilities to the community of Cayman Brac, our program will flourish with new and renewed interest.’ Mitchum Sanford.
This occasion will be the first that the men’s national team will have visited Cayman Brac as their younger counter parts the U-15 team had the opportunity a few years ago. It’s also a great opportunity for the men’s national team to showcase their talents in a more friendly and laidback atmosphere before they head off to the 2007 Islands Games. An action packed day of events is planned for the community to enjoy and learn at the Cayman Brac High School.

* Meet the national team U-15 & Men’s members and learn some exciting moves and tricks.
6:30pm: Training Demonstration Drills & Skills by Men’s National Team
7:00pm: U-15 National Team vs. C. Brac High School Select
7:45pm: Men’s National Team vs. C. Brac Men’s Select
9:00pm: Social gathering with players, coaches and officials.
