Legal Practitioners Law requires public comment

The Law Reform Commission has recently concluded its work on the review of the Legal Practitioners Law.

The commissioner’s report, together with a draft bill, was submitted to the Governor-in-Cabinet for consideration.

Cabinet considered the report and bill and agreed that before Cabinet makes a final determination on the matter, the public should be afforded one final opportunity to comment on the report and the bill.

The report and bill will be circulated for public comments and will be available on the Government website,, and the judicial and legal website,

The closing date for comments is Friday, 24 August. Comments should be sent to the office of the attorney general by email to Ms Tesia Scott at [email protected] or delivered to the attorney general’s chambers, 4th floor, Government Administration Building.

Anyone wishing to submit comments on the bill is being reminded that the bill should not be scanned then altered or marked-up and then submitted. Instead the comments should be submitted in written form.
