Marriott Beach Resort hosted a celebratory luncheon for their associates in recognition of their continual hard work and dedication, which was once again recently demonstrated.
Due to the imminent threat of Hurricane Dean, the Marriott Beach Resort evacuated all guests and closed its doors for the very first time since re-opening in November of 2005, said a press release.
‘It was inspiring to see how the community came together in general. In particular, I was very proud and moved by the work ethic and allegiance that our associates demonstrated at this trying time,’ said Managing Director Walter Regidor. ‘The commitment and loyalty that our associates displayed in ensuring that our guests were taken care of and the property secured, was truly commendable.’
As a gesture of their appreciation, on Monday, 10 September, the management team served their associates lunch in the Red Parrot restaurant. In a festive spirit, the managers, and executive team alike, donned pirate costumes and had a buffet extravaganza complete with music and decorations.
‘I would like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge their hard work and to extend my appreciation and congratulations to each and every associate in our Marriott family,’ said Mr. Regidor. ‘Our successes are because of you.’
