Market at the Grounds, the new farmers market held Saturdays at the Stacy Watler Agricultural Pavilion in Lower Valley, will be making an appearance at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.
A small group of vendors will bring locally grown produce, arts and crafts to the crowds at the Expo on Saturday, 13 October. The market in Lower Valley will be closed that day.
This Saturday’s market will feature nearly 30 vendors with farm fresh produce, locally caught fish, locally propagated trees and plants and locally made food products. Also available are cooked meals including the Caymanian favourites, turtle, beef and chicken, as well as cakes, tarts and candies.
The market also features a variety of arts and crafts.
Market customers are asked to do their part in conserving the environment by bringing their own shopping bags.
Those interested in becoming a vendor at the Market can contact Gina Bodden at the Department of Agriculture at 947-3090.
