I full heartedly agree with the views expressed by Natasha Bunting in her letter Practice Christian tolerance, please.

I am not opinionated over the fact whether someone is a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu or a follower of any other religion, as I believe that it is everyone’s right to decide on a lifestyle that suits them and their family.

The problems begin when people are trying to enforce their opinions (and especially their religious views and beliefs) on others, and for some reason, it always seems to be the Christians who feel the need to do so.

If they can’t convince people of their views, they run to get government involved.

Convincing me that your view is the right one is one thing; enforcing it on me is another!

Government has no business to impose any religious views on people and it is certainly not for them to decide which religious view is the right one.

So I suggest if you feel that there is a movie that may be offensive to you – don’t go and watch it, and don’t let your children watch it. It is as simple as that! Don’t expect for the entire island’s population to agree with you and have their choices limited, based on other peoples religion.
