The Cayman Islands Postal Service is releasing a new stamp issue called Greetings on 5 February.
Greetings will be a way to celebrate special occasions such as an engagement, a wedding or the birth of a baby, to send greetings to friends and loved ones, and to provide Cayman Islands overseas guests with a memento of their stay, said a press release.
The six stamps carry the greetings Love, Hello, Best Wishes, Congratulations, Good Luck and You’re Invited.
The stamps will be sold in sheetlets of 20cents, 25cents 50cents, 75cents, 80cents and $1, meaning all the images will be represented on a sheetlet. CIPS has also ordered four self-adhesive booklets.
One features Hello, at the postcard rate of 20cents, and the other three are at the local rate of 25cents: Congratulations, Love and You’re Invited.
‘The Cayman Islands Postal Service is always looking for ways to make sending and receiving mail more fun,’ said Postmaster General Sheena Glasgow said. ‘The images and wording on this issue help to put a special stamp on the occasion even before the recipient opens the envelope.
‘And, just to show how in sync we are with occasions, we are launching Greetings right in time for Valentine’s Day.’
