District Governor, Lion John Ebanks, MJF, has met with the members of the Lions Club of Tropical Garden (LCTG).
An official visit, he first met with the Board members for his audit, and then with the other members of the Club.
Lion Andrew Eden, PMJF of the Grand Cayman Club formally introduced the District Governor Lion John Ebanks, MJF, C which consists of 1,947 members in 22 islands and 64 Lions clubs.
Lion John said the many projects of the LCTG are commendable. He singled out the breast cancer awareness programme noting that it was outstanding and he congratulated the club for addressing the needs of the community. He wished the club well and remarked that it is a guiding light for clubs at home and abroad.
Lion Ann Hunte gave the vote of thanks and Lion President Cheryl Bell, MJF, presented the District Governor with a gift as a token of appreciation from the Club. Highlight of the evening was the presentation of two Melvin Jones Fellow awards to two of the Club’s most outstanding members Lion Norma McField and Lion Carmin Godfrey.
The evening ended with lively tail twisting, singing of the District Governor’s song followed by dinner provided by Welly’s.
