Close Brothers (Cayman) Limited recently donated funds to Generation NOW (GN) as part of their aim to contribute to the development of Cayman’s youth. The money is to assist GN with their career development programmes, youth debates on current affairs and community outreach programmes.
‘Generation NOW believes that No Opportunity should be Wasted (NOW),’ explained Linburgh Martin, Managing Director at Close Brothers. ‘It was that firm declaration that prompted us to learn more about the organisation, and we were very impressed to find a strong group of individuals who are determined to have a positive influence on Cayman’s youth.’
GN is a local non-profit, charitable organisation with the objective of promoting and enhancing youth development in the Cayman Islands by helping them build character and leadership skills, as well as raising awareness of the importance of lending a hand to others.
‘As a growing financial services company, it is our social responsibility to support the community in which we live, work and raise our children, therefore identifying programmes that are in-line with our corporate/community goals is important to us,’ added Mr. Martin. ‘GN’s clear mandate and objective, along with well-defined goals were among the reasons for our recent donation.’
