Beauty from the inside out

A colleague of mine in newspaper advertising recently informed me that most advertising in today’s health, wellness and beauty market is about surgical, medical and other cosmetic techniques to improve appearance. Not much has changed, really, since the days of Cleopatra and her deep cleansing clay masks except, probably, the costs incurred for such beauty treatments.

Today, Cayman offers top techniques and procedures in the beauty market as can be seen from the number of spas and centres promising cellulite control, weight reduction, youthful skin rejuvenation and beauty.

Beauty from the inside, however, is something that cannot be purchased. It is a manifestation of the inner workings of the mind, heart and spirit. Beauty reflected on the lined and compassionate face of one’s aging grandmother, for example, is the culmination of a life of wisdom, love and strength through adversity. Beauty on the face of a mother with her newborn baby cannot be bottled.

So, in one’s pursuit of beauty, timeless aging and body excellence, Lifestyles encourages one to nurture the inner mind, soul and spirit with positive thoughts, loving acts towards others and respect and care of the self so that your foundation of beauty is built from within.

Individuals with weight challenges are often self-critical and negative about their bodies. Learning to love and appreciate the physical body while taking steps to shed excess pounds and improve quality of lifestyle is an approved method of long-term success.

Developing a positive attitude and outlook during this process is a key factor in determining the success of whether we are able to meet and sustain our goals. It does not matter which program you follow in order to overcome weight problems – success is based upon you becoming ‘your own program’.

Becoming self-motivated from within is where true success exists.
