Get ready to rock with Air Guitar

96.5 CAYROCK and Hard Rock café are partnering up to host a Cinco de Mayo and Air Guitar Championship.

The double celebration will be held at Hard Rock Café, on Saturday, 3 May from 6pm.

Up for grabs is a grand prize trip for two to the world-famous Hard Rock Calling, a two day festival in London’s Hyde Park in late June. The winner will be flown British Airways to London, and be provided with complimentary accommodation and spending money, as well as receive two VIP passes granting backstage access. The prize is valued at $4,500.

During the event there will be drink specials on Corona and live performances by Charlie Goes Electric, Ratskyn and Suckerbox.

‘It’s bound to be a high-energy night of endless celebration and we hope to see a lot of familiar faces out there ready to rock it out on stage,’ commented 96.5 CAYROCK Programme Director and Morning Show Host, Ben Maxwell.

Entrants will have a choice of a selection of 15 songs for which music will be provided. If they elect to forgo one of the options from the song list provided then the entrant will need to provide their own continuous, unedited, 60-second, music clip on a CD.

‘Hard Rock gears up for this event for months in advance – it is one of the highlights of the year for us,’ Hard Rock Café’s General Manager, Colin Doyle, said.

The event offers Hard Rock fans the final opportunity to visit the bar and restaurant for a number of months while it is refurbished.
