Commercial lawyer joins Truman Bodden & Co

Corporate/ Commercial lawyer Carolynn Vivian joined Truman Bodden & Company after being admitted to practise law in the Cayman Islands before Justice Charles Quin on 5 August.

Ms Vivian was admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales in 2000, in England and Wales in 2003 and in 2005 she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in British Columbia. She joins Truman Bodden & Company from the Vancouver office of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP, one of Canada’s largest law firms, where she practised law in the Business Group.

Ms Vivian has broad experience handling corporate/commercial transactions including, mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganisations, as well as advising on all aspects of general company and commercial law. She has been involved in large corporate share and asset acquisitions in Australia, England and Canada.

During her practice in London, England, she drafted and negotiated essential service contracts with Europe’s leading airlines, airports and air traffic management authorities. Carolynn also has extensive experience in commercial leasing, having practiced exclusively in that area for several years.

Outside of her legal career, she is a keen netball player. She was selected in the Canadian Netball Team in 2006 and 2008. Since arriving on island, she has joined a local netball team.
