Cayman Islands Bank of Commerce and Trust Company (Cayman) Limited has donated US$150,000 to Cayman HospiceCare.
As trustees of a charitable trust involved in an aircraft leasing transaction the company made the charitable donation on the termination of the leasing arrangement.
Cayman HospiceCare Manager, Jennifer Grant-McCarthy said, ‘It is through generous donations like this is able to continue to offer our services, free of charge, to patients and their families living in the Cayman Islands.
‘It costs Cayman HospiceCare more than $1,500 a day to operate the organisation, leading to an ever growing budget of more than $500,000 a year. CIBC is a shining example of both corporate responsibility and community awareness on our Islands.’
