Cayman Islands senior cricketers were in sizzling form over the weekend when preparations continued in the form of a 40 overs practice match.
Physical training began three weeks ago under trainer David Ross but players and spectators alike were eagerly waiting on the matches to begin.
It was an early show of form from Steve Gordon and Ricardo Roach who batted well in an opening partnership of 74 runs for Pearson Best X1.
Gordon and Khemchand Dindyal scored 36 runs each. The pick of the bowlers for Saheed Mohamed X1 was Alessandro Morris who had excellent figures of 8 overs, 4 maidens, 14 runs and one wicket. Ryan Bovell and Roy Hayman took two wickets each.
