The National Council of Voluntary Organisations will host its 29th annual fundraiser on Saturday 1 November at the Hard Rock Café and simulcast on Radio Cayman from 7pm to midnight.
The money raised at the event helps to maintain and operate one of Cayman’s longest running charities – the NCVO.
Each year, the evening draws out an amazing level of talent. This year’s list is no exception with a line up which includes among others, Barefoot Man, Sea N’ B’, Earl Lapierre, the Steel Pan Orchestra, the Will Steward Band, Suckerbox.
Another attraction is the numerous prizes given away on the night to those who phone in and pledge. One of the top prizes this year is two round trip tickets to any Cayman Airways destination.
‘The success of our radio/telethon is vital to the survival of the NCVO and its projects,’ said Janice Wilson, CEO for the NCVO. ‘The community has always been very generous in their donations to our programmes and we encourage as many people as possible to support the event, and to join us for a wonderful night of fun and entertainment.’
The NCVO is an independent, non-profit, charitable organisation and one of the oldest charities in Cayman.
Some of the projects run by the NCVO are: the Nadine Andreas Residential Foster Home, Miss Nadine’s Pre-School, Jack & Jill Nursery and the Caring Cousins Welfare Fund.
Members of the public are invited to come out on the night and present their donations at the Hard Rock Café or to call in throughout the night to make a pledge on 946-6136. Corporate donations are also encouraged
