Conference makes young leader

Christsania McLean, a recent high school graduate of the John Gray High School, attended the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC, where she had a life changing experience, according to a comment made by the young leader.

The purpose of the Global Young Leaders Conference is to distinguish a select group of exceptional high school students worldwide for their scholastic merit and demonstrated leadership ability and provide them with the opportunity to witness history in the making.

‘The conference experience allowed me the opportunity to meet wonderful new people from all over the globe. I was able to learn, understand and ask questions about other countries and cultures, and this also gave me a greater appreciation for my country, the Cayman Islands. I wish to thank Cayman National for their financial contribution,’ said Christsania.

‘It is always rewarding to receive such positive feed back from our young people upon their return from such events as the GYLC’, said Claudia Welds of Cayman National.

Ms Welds went on to say that the organisation continued to place the support of youth and education as a high priority.
