Due to the current predicted track and strength of Hurricane Paloma, the Water Authority would like to urge all customers to take note of the various hurricane preparedness recommendations found at www.caymanprepared.gov.ky as well as water specific tips on our website www.waterauthority.ky.
Customers are also reminded that major hurricanes do pose a serious threat to our pipelines along the coast therefore it may be necessary for the Authority to temporarily disrupt service in order to protect the distribution system. Should this action be necessary, the Water Authority will give as much notice as possible once such a decision has been made. However as the situation may change rapidly with this storm there may be very little notice possible.
