Two of the lead singers from the famous Byron Lee Dragonaires band will be guest performers at the forthcoming Pirates Week festival.
The singers are scheduled to perform at the two downtown street dances, tonight, Friday, and Saturday, 15 November.
Oscar B and Jumo, two of the front-line singers with the band, will each make a guest appearance, backed by IMIJ & Company, the featured visiting band in Pirates Week.
Oscar B will entertain tonight, Friday, 7 November, at the first Downtown Street Dance, and Jumo will be the guest singer on the closing Saturday, 15 November street dance. Local audiences are familiar with the two singers who are known for their energetic and crowd-interaction performances.
“I’ve made a lot of friends in Cayman and the crowds at Pirates Week are always jamming, so I’m looking forward to coming back,” Oscar B, who was a guest performer in last year’s festival, said.
Jumo, who will appear on the closing night, added: “I’ve heard about Pirates Week, and I can’t wait to get there and join in the party. I’ve got a mix of old and new stuff the people will love.”
The visiting musicians will be joined by local performers Hit Depot, Bona Fide, Red White & Blues, Xplosion, Impulz, Heat, Musical Crew, Core, Panoramers, J. R. Douglas, and Wata Soaked.
Pirates Week kicked off yesterday with a party at The Wharf and runs through Sunday, 16 November.
