In an effort to get supplies to Cayman Brac, a Thompson Shipping barge has arrived from Cuba in Grand Cayman Monday morning.
The ship is able to receive dry cargo from 8am to 3pm Monday as long as load requirements and sailing conditions permit. Thompson officials stress that this is only for normal suppliers, and that they will likely not be able to take on additional donated relief supplies.
Monday’s barge will only travel to Cayman Brac.
Tuesday’s barge is also due to arrive from Cuba and will load up in Grand Cayman between 8am to 3pm. The Tuesday barge will service both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.
