Taste frustration

I agree with Ms Anderson’s comments regarding the Taste of Cayman.

I attended the Taste with my wife. We arrived at 7.15 and even by then there were long lines for the food stalls. The crowds were the largest we have ever seen for this event and there were definitely not enough food stalls to accommodate those people wanting to try the various offerings.

After 20 minutes of standing in line at one of the vendors (and also seeing as Ms Anderson did, people cutting into the lines) we gave up in frustration and left to eat at a nearby local restaurant.

I know this is a charity event but in the past I’ve seen many more restaurants participate. Perhaps the organisers should, as an incentive, consider paying something toward the vendors’ time and food costs; maybe then more restaurants would be willing to participate.
