Theirry Henry’s heart tells him Arsenal can still win the title.
It is a heart which has served Henry well. It told him his $30 million move from the Gunners to Barcelona 18 months ago was the right one for his career.
And even though Henry struggled for fitness in his first season in Spain he still finished as the club’s leading goalscorer and was top of the assists.
Now Barcelona are eight points clear of their nearest rivals, Valencia, at the top of La Liga and Henry is a Nou Camp hero.
What chance then of Arsenal and Barcelona making it a title double at the end of the season?
French ace Henry, 31, does not want to jinx Barca by predicting a La Liga triumph but he reckons Arsene Wenger’s men can succeed against all the odds.
He said: ‘Where Arsenal are concerned I always speak with my heart before my head.
‘Everyone has been having a go at Arsenal but the Premier League is very competitive and not easy for anyone.
‘They are still in the race. It will be difficult of course because it’s better to be eight points ahead than eight points behind as Arsenal are at the moment – but it could be five after Sunday if they beat Liverpool.’
